This training is required for patient Part 2 data access in the Contexture HIE portal, PatientCare 360. This video provides an overview of Part 2 data, what it is, how it’s protected, and how you can access Part 2 data in PatientCare 360.

Part 2 Data, defined under Title 42 of the Code of Federal Regulations, 42 C.F.R. part 2 (“Part 2”) refers to substance use disorder health information (including, but not limited to, treatment, referrals, and conditions) from federally supported substance abuse treatment programs. Part 2 Data requires stricter confidentiality protections beyond HIPAA, making it essential for Contexture to accurately identify and manage all Part 2 Data received, and those who access it.

The new Part 2 TPO (Treatment, Payment, Operations) consent form for patients is available for download. You may begin having patients complete the form today, however, the form cannot be uploaded until the new HIE PatientCare 360 Portal is available on February 9, 2026.
