PatientCare 360® Release Notes

This page outlines platform updates and enhancements for the Contexture HIE serving Arizona and Colorado. Users can review release notes and learn about improvements available in the PatientCare 360 Portal.

March 2026

The Patient Details header now includes the patient’s Social Security Number (SSN). To maintain onscreen privacy, only the last four digits are displayed. Hover over the field to view the full SSN when needed.

The new Vitals tab provides a clear and consistent place to review patient vital signs parsed from HL7 v2 and CCDs.

This update ensures vitals are visible even when no visit or encounter exists, addressing gaps in the face sheet where CCD based vitals could not previously be displayed. The new tab shows only vitals that have values and follow the same display logic used for vitals in the face sheet, creating a familiar and streamlined experience while offering a more complete view of the patient’s clinical information.

The patient search experience has been updated to provide more flexible and accurate ways to locate a patient record. You can now search by:

  • MRN
  • Any two: Last Name, First Name, Date of Birth (new)

The Lab Results/Radiology and Documents tabs now default to All instead of Source Data. This update ensures you see the full set of available information immediately without needing to adjust the sorting options.

Lab Trends now includes a print option, allowing you to easily generate a printed version of lab trend data directly from the view. This enhancement supports cleaner documentation and improves workflow flexibility.

The Lab Results/Radiology section has been renamed to Results to provide a cleaner, more consistent experience across the application. This change appears in the Patient Details and face sheet.

Result details now open reliably even when a lab order has no associated result record. When available, order notes are displayed in the details view so you can still review the information. In addition, radiology views render correctly whether the diagnostic service is labeled RAD or RADIOLOGY, ensuring consistent display across historical data.

The Diagnosis section on the face sheet now includes a Date column, aligned with the Diagnoses tab to ensure both views present consistent and complete information.

The Encounter Date slider in Timeline View now reflects only the date range you select in the top left filter. Previously, the slider displayed all data regardless of the chosen timeframe. This update ensures the slider aligns with your selected range across all patient Timeline Views.

The Timeline View now includes Other as an Encounter Type for encounters that do not fall under Inpatient, Outpatient, or Emergency. This addition prevents these encounters from being placed in the Unknown category and reduces unnecessary trend lines caused by individually mapped encounter types.

In the Demographics section of face sheets, the Religion field no longer shows the code in parentheses. The display now presents only the descriptive value for a cleaner and more user-friendly view.

You can now select a custom start and end date when exporting CCDs, enabling encounter adjacent exports (e.g., within X days of an encounter) instead of being limited to a one year minimum. This gives you finer control for DAV workflows and aligns the UI capability with what’s already supported in superset.
