The Targeted Investment Program

The Targeted Investments Program is a strategy of the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System to provide financial incentives to eligible AHCCCS providers to develop systems for integrated care.

Many Arizona HIE participants are actively engaged in the TI Program. For participants to be successful in the TI Program, there is a strong focus on participants adopting and using health information technology and securely sharing clinical data in order to:

  • Improve care coordination
  • Identify and manage patient populations
  • Develop high-risk patient registries

To be successful and receive TI financial incentives, participants must meet certain milestones; some milestones are related to HIE and others are related to other performance measures.

Note: The deadline for new applicants has passed and only previously accepted applicants are currently participating in the TI Program.

For more information on the program and required milestones, visit the TI Program page on the AHCCCS website.
