Health Current Announces Board of Directors

Health Current has announced a new Board of Directors following a unanimous vote at the Board of Director’s meeting on July 25, 2017. The Board of Directors of Health Current, formerly Arizona Health-e Connection, voted to change its bylaws on March 28, 2017, changing from a membership organization to a non-membership organization with a self-sustaining board.
Under the new Board structure, the Board has been reduced from a Board composition of up to 35 members to a composition of 20-27 members. The current Board composition will include 3 government representatives, 5-7 hospitals representatives, 5-7 health plan representatives and up to 10 at-large representatives.
The new Board of Directors assures broad community diversity and expertise, according to David Dexter, CEO, Sonora Quest Laboratories and Board Chair of Health Current. “We have some outstanding community representation on the Board,” Dexter said, “and we also have a breadth of knowledge and experience that will offer the guidance and oversight necessary to help Health Current management reach the goals of the organization.”
The Board of Directors will also be supported by the three new Governance Councils: Clinical Advisory Council, Data Governance Council and the Privacy & Security Council which were introduced this past February.
